With over 20 years of experience in physical therapy and adaptive fitness, Karen founded ABL Fitness to create an inclusive community for athletes of all abilities.

Clinical Director
Master of Science in Exercise Physiology with focus on adaptive exercise instruction and nationally ranked powerlifting athlete.
McKenzie Jorgensen
Head Coach – Special Olympics
Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and experienced adaptive fitness coach.
Liz Hummel
Performance Coach
Liz works with individuals in both one-on-one and group settings to explore the connection between mind and body. Her goal is to use movement and exercise to help adults and adolescents experience a more peaceful, productive, and rewarding life at home, school, work, or while competing athletically.

Tom Macomber
Tom has spent over 20 years driving visionary change in Information Technology teams transitioning them from technical resources to strategic business partners who align technology with meaningful business outcomes. His background includes startup, midsize, and large enterprise companies, as well as experience with mergers and acquisition.
Ryan Hurley
Ryan serves as Treasurer for ABL Fitness, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making fitness accessible for individuals of all abilities. He oversees financial operations, budgeting, and fund allocation to ensure programs are sustainably funded and mission-aligned.
Lauren Van Allen
Lauren serves as the Chief Financial Officer of ABL Fitness, bringing both professional expertise and a deep personal connection to the organization. As a parent of two athletes who participate in ABL classes, Lauren has a firsthand understanding of the program’s impact and is passionate about supporting its mission.
